COUNTING THE DAYS...

Hello everyone, Im going for a visit over Thanksgiving weekend. Getting so excited and counting the days down. Im so thankful its a four day visit. This will be my first time visiting on Thanksgiving. Anyone else going that weekend? Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

I wanted to know how holiday visits are are I mean are thier alot of people like the weekend visits I went nuts the last visit it was really crowded and noisy and with kids it just makes it worse so I was hopeing the Holiday visits are better since alot of people are usually busy those days but I am not sure if other try to do what I am thinking and take adavantage of them thinking its less croweded and less noise I am sure you guys know what I mean

This weekend...

Well, I just got off the phone with Greg...Three or four more guys have a fever..Byrd unit is locked down until Friday..unless something else comes up. Greg and I decided to cancel visiting this weekend. it is too much of a risk to drive up there and then be turned away in case someone else get's sick....

Visiting this weekend????

I am hoping to stay at the Ramada Inn with the coupon I have for $56.99 plus tax on Saturday night, Novermber 14th (if the coupon doesn't work, I will get the prison rate of $65). Anyone visiting that weekend who wants to share a room? I typically go back to the room and crash since I drive up to Morgantown through the night on Friday night and I am exhausted by the end of visitation at 3pm. It would be nice to split the cost of the room with someone!!!

H1N1

There is a lot of conversation about H1N1 and them being on lockdown.  According to a few members, Byrd unit is the only unit on lockdown for the next 72 hours.  Visitation is still on today, except for the members of Byrd.  If anyone hears about next Wednesday and next weekend please pass that info along as soon as possible.  As everyone knows it is lost on the BoP that some of us travel many hours and need to now these things before we get there. 

Can anyone tell what is the cheapest and closest hotel to the prison I am making plans to go visit and the hotels that my husbands PO gave me are 100 dollars a night on regular days let me know could really use some advice

Thanksgiving Weekend Visits

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone is hanging in there! I was wondering if anyone knew of the times for visiting during Thanksgiving weekend. I am assuming Thursday 8am-3pm, and the rest of the weekend as normal??? If anyone knows, please post. Also, if anyone is planning on visiting the weekend of the 6th or Thanksgiving weekend, book your hotel rooms NOW! There are football games BOTH weekends and the rooms are filling up fast!
