Shipping?

Gavin is wanting me to send him a wedding band, Since the one he had could not go with him since it had diamonds. So I went out and bought a plain one, I called and asked if it was OK to send one and they said yes! My dilemma is how do I ship it? I know they are strict about packaging. Any Ideas? Also what is the best way to ship a book? I have heard of others having theirs returned due to packaging. Thanks.. Jamie

I have never had trouble shipping books in...I put "authorized by BOP policy" on the front and pack of my packages....for the ring..I would def put it in a bubble wrap package.... Good luck!

I had to send Mike his glasses. He had to go to his counselor and get a form it had multiple parts, pink you keep, yellow you send back with the item, or something like that. You have to have the form for anything not in the mailing regulations!!!!!!!!! They have to pre-approve it. The mailroom will send it back COD!!!!!!! I always purchase and ship books through Amazon. Make sure it is amazon directly, and not a third party though. I ordered mike a used book on amazon, that really came from a third party and they sent it back COD, I had to pay the vendor shipping twice. I have found it cheaper to send books strtaight from them, then packaging it and sending it my self at the local post office.

Thank you I will ask Gavin to send me that form. When I called the guy just told me to ship it like I would a letter but better safe than sorry I guess.
